Workshop on healthcare waste management in Vietnam

On the morning of September 11, 2017, a workshop on healthcare waste management in Vietnam, referred as Healthcare waste management rapid assessment tool in Vietnam, was held at HUPH. The workshop was an activity within the “National survey of Healthcare waste management system and Environmental pollution assessment”. The workshop was attended by leaders and representatives from the Health Environment Management Agency (Ministry of Health), Hanoi University of Public Health, National Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health, and delegates from provincial Health Departments, Provincial centers for Disease Control and Prevention of 26 provinces/cities in the Northern Vietnam and the three central provinces (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh).

HUPH is going to conduct the survey of healthcare waste management in hopsitals across country. The survey results will provide scientific update to develop healthcare waste management database for Health Environment Management Agency.
