WORKSHOP FOR PUBLIC HEALTH STUDENTS - C3S

Recent studies and surveys show that the contribution to success of successful people is only 25% of professional knowledge while the remaining 75% of decisions are due to soft skills equipped. Equipping soft skills not only helps students to study well at the University, but also can practice their bravery to have the opportunity to find a good job when they graduate. In fact, employers always appreciate candidates who are confident, communicate well, know how to work scientifically, can work in groups and know how to arrange time to work effectively.
However, in Vietnam, the provision of soft skills in communication, teamwork, presentation skills, CV writing and interviewing skills, etc. through formal training channels is often limited due to the lack of software. Most programs are given priority to subjects on “hard knowledge and skills”.

Understanding this issue, the Center for Research on Public Health and Ecosystems (CENPHER) and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the University of Public Health proposed to organize an activity called "CENPHER's Seminar to guide to students – CENPHER Seminar Series for Students” – referred to as C3S for short to introduce scientific research skills, soft skills and common cultural topics to students and students of the University of Public Health and other schools. Program No. 01 was organized with the theme: What can we learn from the life and contributions of Dr. Alexander Yersin to Public Health presented by Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung.

Symposiums are held on the first Monday of every month, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Grand Lecture Hall, 5-storey building, University of Public Health with many different topics such as: How to write a CV, job application and interview skills, project/research outline writing skills and effective approach to sponsors, effective leadership and teamwork skills, Plagiarism: the Errors should be avoided and how to cite in scientific research.... This is a very useful activity for students and students in the school, creating conditions for you to have a stronger foundation when participating in recruitment. and start work later. The school and the Youth Union encourage you to participate enthusiastically and respond to this program.
