CENPHER’s exchange students defending theses

Benoit Randuineau and Parfait Kouame, two exchange students at the CENPHER, have successfully defense Ph.D thesis on 27 and 28 November 2015 respectively.

Mr. Randuineau who registered at the University of Pierre Marie Currie (or Paris 6) has been working on the issue of pathogen and its implications with public health under the project title “Interactions between pathogenes : What are the impacts on public health?” He was having his internship at both CENPHER/HSPH and ILRI Vietnam from February to May 2013 and in December 2014.

Mr. Kouame defensed his thesis of “Integrated planning for sustainable management of environmental sanitation: modeling application for Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire” at the University of Felix Houphouet in Ivory Cost on 28 November 2015. He has been in Hanoi in April/May 2013 in an exchange between Swiss TPH and CENPHER/HSPH.
Both Mr. Randuineau and Mr. Kouame are among the list of more than 15 foregin student exchanged in the collaboration of CENPHER/HSPH and its partners from around the world. They have been an added value not only in fostering the collaboration between CENPHER/HSPH and donors and parters but also in diversifying the research and capacity building at the Center.
