CENPHER Seminar Series for Student (C3S) at the Hanoi School of Public Health

“Soft skills”, a term refer to communication, team-work, or CV writing skills are necessary for graduates who are looking for jobs after universities.  Employers usually highly appreciate the candidates who are confident with good communication and scientific work skill, and the candidates who have good time-arrange skill and effective teamwork skill. However in Vietnam, soft skills are not often provided through the formal education channel, but only the subjects related to “professional subjects and hard skills”.

The CENPHER Seminar Series for Student – C3S is an event, co-organized by Centre for Public Health and Ecosystem Research (CENPHER) and The Youth Union of Hanoi School of Public Health with the aim of introducing science research skills, soft skill and general cultural themes for students of the  Hanoi School of Public Health. The first program was organized with the theme of What could we learn from the life of Dr. Alexander Yersin and his dedication for public health which was presented by Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung.

The seminars are held on the Monday of the first week every month with variety of subjects  such as CV writing, job application and interview recruitment skill, writing project proposals/research skill, effective approaches to donors, effective leadership and teamwork skills, avoiding plagiarism  and how to cite in scientific researches. Hanoi School of Public Health and The Youth Union encourage students to attend and response actively to this useful activity
