HUPH offered a program of free health check-ups, counselling, and medicines for people with meritorious services, families in preferential treatment policy, and former youth volunteers of Duc Thang Ward

On July 16, 2023, HUPH collaborated with the People's Committee of Duc Thang Ward, Bac Tu Liem District to organize a program of free health check-ups, counselling, and medicines for about 200 veterans and members of families in preferential treatment policy at HUPH Polyclinic. The event was part of a series of activities to show gratitude to families in preferential treatment policy, people with meritorious services to the country, and former youth volunteers, towards the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023). Such a program has become an annual activity of HUPH since the establishment of the Polyclinic in 2017 with the desire to contribute to taking care of the material and spiritual life of war invalids, sick soldiers, and martyrs' families in particular, and the people of Duc Thang Ward, Bac Tu Liem District in general.

Veterans and representatives of families in preferential treatment policy received basic health examinations including blood pressure measurement, electrocardiogram, laboratory tests, abdominal ultrasound, and general internal examination. After that, the doctors gave health advice and appropriate nutrition advice.
