Hanoi School of Public Health received the Organizational Excellence Award

Hanoi School of Public Health received the Organizational Excellence Award from the World Federation of Public Health Associations at the World Congress on Public Health, Kolkata, February 13, 2015.

 

The 14th World Congress on Public Health took place in Kolkata, India from 11 – 15 February 2015. The congress was organized by the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA) in collaboration with national public health associations that are members of the Federation. The congress is a major international event which is supported by UN Agencies, primarily the World Health Organization and UNICEF and is closely followed for its most valuable recommendations and inputs in global public health concerns.

At this event, The Organizational Excellence Award was given to Hanoi School of Public Health (HSPH) by WFPHA. Dr. Pham Duc Phuc was honored to represent the school to receive this award from the Chairman of WFPHA, Dr. Mengitsu Asnake, and present the results and achievements which HSPH has accomplished in the past years.

The World Congress on Public Health is an international Congress conducted every three years since 1975. Participants of the congresses include delegates from public health associations of the world countries, as well as representatives from the public and private sectors, representatives from public health related sectors and NGOs based in member states of the World Federation of Public Health Associations. This time, the Congress was organized with the subject: “Healthy People – Healthy Environments”.

The event was an opportunity for stakeholders to share experiences and exchange views on policy, program effectiveness, and how to best implement programs and policies for public health. Also, within the framework of the meeting, the emerging issues in global health were discussed.
